Beyond Leaves: Year-Round Uses for Your Blower
Most leaf blowers get used for 6–8 weeks in autumn then spend the other 44 weeks in a shed. Here are five ways to get value from yours all year.
1. Drying Off Patio Furniture and Cars
After rain or washing, a leaf blower dries garden furniture, BBQ equipment and vehicles far faster than towelling. The forced air gets into crevices that a cloth misses — chair joints, grille bars, car door rubbers. Ten minutes with a blower saves 30 minutes of hand drying.
2. Clearing Workshop Dust and Sawdust
After woodworking, grinding or cutting, a leaf blower on medium power clears sawdust and debris from workshop benches, floor joints, machinery surfaces and between stored materials in minutes. Use outdoors only (never blow sawdust inside an enclosed space) or in a well-ventilated workshop with the door open.
3. Clearing Snow from Paths and Steps
